Jay-Z checks out blue diamonds for Beyonce

The traditional anniversary gift for a fourth wedding anniversary would be flowers, the modern take something in linen or silk. 

Lingerie is suggested as a gift from man to wife at this milestone, though you may not be surprised to hear that Jay Z went above and beyond.

This is the man who is reported to have bought his four-month-old daughter Blue Ivy a solid gold rocking horse. 

And today he honoured the little one by selecting a 'blue' diamond for Beyonce,30, to celebrate their anniversary. 

Jay-Z was spotted leaving Jacob and Co. in New York City before heading off to celebrate his fourth wedding anniversary with Beyonce.

And an insider told the Mail Online that the rapper chose something after looking at a selection of 'Lumina' rare blue diamonds. 

'I know he checked out coloured diamonds, the rare blue 'Lumina' in partcular,' the source said. 

Walking out with a smile, happy Jay Z embraced the owner as he headed towards his tinted SUV.

He also happily posed and shook hands with a few construction workers nearby.

Jay may have picked out the blue diamond for a new engagement ring.

The famous couple plan to renew their vows, according to reports. 

An insider told Star magazine that the 42-year old 'came up with idea,' adding, 'Jay told Beyoncé earlier this year that he wanted to marry her all over again.'

Just like their first wedding, the second trip down the aisle is expected to be at their home in Scarsdale, New York with just a friends including Gwyneth Paltrow, Kanye West and Oprah Winfrey.

'They want the ceremony to be simple but elegant. They're having Nobu cater it, and Jay put together a special presentation showing him and Bee through the years,' the insider continued.
