Casper Smart joins Jennifer Lopez 43rd birthday lunch after....?

It seems Jennifer Lopez was not going to let anything ruin her birthday celebration. 

The singer, who turns 43 today, appeared in great spirits as she headed out for lunch at Nobu in New York with her toyboy Casper Smart, 25, and a group of friends.

The former American Idol judge looked much younger than her years in a stylish white and blush full-length dress and Chanel handbag. 

If her back-up dancer beau seemed a little sheepish it's no surprise - just 24 hours earlier he was pictured leaving an X-rated peepshow alone.

Casper, who has been dating one of the world's sexiest singers for around eight months, was pictured slinking into the seedy establishment attached to the N.Y. VIP Toys sex shop yesterday afternoon.

He made a phone call outside the store before quickly dashing in for the show and was seen adjusting his jeans as he emerged some time later.

While there's some speculation he was buying his girlfriend a sexy birthday treat, he certainly wasn't carrying any shopping bags as he left.

Jennifer, meanwhile, has been ringing in her birthday in style, kicking off celebrations at ritzy A-list restaurant Cipriani last night.

The couple opened up about their romance for the first time in an interview on ABC News last week.

Casper , who is 17 years younger than his superstar girlfriend, revealed there were no romantic sparks between the two of them initially.

When asked if it was love at first sight when the pair met, Casper said: 'I don't think it was, for either of us. It was just very natural, you know, natural how it happened.

'There was nothing before, no flirting, no nothing.'

The pair then started dating last autumn just a few months after her seven-year marriage to Marc Anthony ended in July 2011.

While Casper insists Jennifer is good at taking direction from him, ultimately 'she's the boss'.

Jennifer, who has four-year-old twins, Max and Emme, with Marc, added: 'It can be difficult for anybody who has to stand by my side ... But at the end of the day, I know that I deserve that (to have love).'

She also revealed she is open to marring again despite already having three divorces under her belt, saying she hasn't given up on the 'fairytale'.
