TLC's T-Boz discusses past health and financial problems on new reality series Totally T-Boz


She's appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and What Chilli Wants.
But Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins has decided to ring in the New Year with a show of her very own, Totally T-Boz, on the aptly named network, TLC.

The four-part reality series, airing January 1, reveals the health and financial struggles which kept the 42-year-old singer from making her comeback as a solo artist after being one-third of the R&B/hip-hop girl group TLC.
At the height of their fame in the nineties, T-Boz and her bandmates Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas and Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes sold over 65 million records sold worldwide.
In the just-released four-minute clip, T-Boz meets up with mega-producer Bangladesh in his studio for some real talk as well as possibly collaborating.

In the series, the husky-voiced singer and her 12-year-old daughter Chase have just moved to Los Angeles following her divorce, and restraining order, from rapper husband Mack 10 in 2004.
T-Boz, who's a spokeswoman for Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, also opened up about her life-threatening brain tumor in 2006.
The single mother spent three years recovering after her surgery to remove a strawberry-size acoustic neuroma on her vestibular nerve, which affected her balance, hearing, sight, and facial movement.

Totally T-Boz will also feature her brother Kayo, cousins Barb and Chris, her friend Tae-Tae, and her friend/business-partner Tara.
Meanwhile, the VH1 biopic on TLC is set to begin shooting early next year with remaining members T-Boz and Chilli serving as conmsultants and executive producers.
'Music will be coming soon! Very soon,' the pair told Jon Hornbuckle. 'But first we have a film we are working on, we are writing it and it's going to be a TLC biopic.'

The twosome then teased: 'We might cameo in the film but I doubt we will have a big role, we are looking for people to play us.'
According to Indie Wire, the film's screenwriter is Kate Lanier, who penned What’s Love Got To Do With It, Set it Off, and Beauty Shop.
After Left Eye's tragic car accident in Honduras a decade ago, the band has been on hiatus.
