Jessie J - Wild feat. Big Sean & Dizzee Rascal

The demand for Jessie J’s new song, “Wild”, is so great that her fans couldn’t wait just a few more minutes for the song to make its official UK iTunes debut. In fact, her followers’ excitement is so great that they leaked the tune’s accompanying video to web!

Directed by Emil Nava (Rita Ora’s “R.I.P.”), the “Wild” video features rappers Big Sean and Dizzee Rascal. The song will impact iTunes in the UK at 12am on May 26th before being available via digital retailers worldwide on May 27th. Jessie J’s new album, on the other hand, won’t be released until later this year.

At first listen, fans of Jessie j’s more bubbly Pop-oriented songs may assume that “Wild” is too much of a detour from her previous material. Yet, that is the beauty of Jessie J! She has never been confined to a single genre, and her Who You Are debut album included a mix of Pop, Soul and R&B. So, “Wild” should easily cater to at least one sector of her broad fanbase.

Additionally, “Wild” is perfect for the current US radio climate, which has depicted an upturn in Urban-oriented music during the last few months. EDM is gradually losing popularity and trying to milk the dying trend would have been a silly movie for Jessie J. Hence, with a pair of rappers on the track, a banging beat for the summer and a catchy chorus, “Wild” has the potential to be a hit.
