Prince is back - BUT ON TWITTER??? What the.....

The effortlessly funky Prince has always been an unpredictable and cryptic figure, both in his live performances but also in his personal life.
And to no one's surprise, the 55-year-old musician lent that same sense of mystery to his Twitter debut on his new band page @3rdeyegirl on Tuesday.

At first, his messages were a bit unceremonious and tentative: 'PRINCE'S 1ST TWEET... TESTING 1, 2...' he tweeted.

We know! Prince didn't have a message to accompany this photo, which shows him in an open, frilly shirt

The second tweet didn't offer much, either.
'PRINCE'S 2ND TWEET.' it read.
But things got (literally) spicy with his third message, which came with a humourously random photo of an over-peppered salad.
'DID EYE ADD 2 MUCH PEPPER?' the legendary musician asked.
Other highlights included a crudely captioned photo of Prince in a signature frilly-front shirt and a '1st selfie' that looked less like a selfie and more like wisps of smoke against a leathery black surface.

3rd Eye Girl is Prince's current group, and the account posted on Wednesday a video snippet of some audio from a new song, Groovy Potential.
The @3rdeyegirl account has apparently existed since January 6, but the Purple One had not tweeted himself until Tuesday.
Fronted by Prince, the new group also includes Donna Grantis, Hannah Ford and Ida Neilsen.
No help his contributions inspired some extra excitement about the group, but the Twitterverse will have to wait and see if Prince makes posting food pics a regular event in his day.
